Also known as stomach ulcers, gastric ulcer is a raw eroded area in the lining of the stomach. Gastric ulcers are more common in males between the ages of 55 and 70 years. They can be caused due to the intake of anti-inflammatory drugs, drinking alcohol, and smoking tobacco; have a high caffeine intake and often feels stressed. The indications include:

• Gnawing or burning pain  in the abdomen between the breastbone and the navel region - 1° indicator.
• The pain get worse by eating and may last from few minutes to few hours - 1° indicator
• vomiting blood or food eaten hours or days before
• Loss of appetite
• Feeling fatigue
• Tarry, foul-smelling stools and vomiting of blood is observed in case of bleeding ulcers.
