Vaccination

Cholera Vaccine

Vaccination is only recommended for high-risk travelers like AIDS or refugee camp workers, persons planning extended stays in remote rural areas who are in close contact with the local population. It is a live attenuated oral vaccine. It is not given as a standard immunization schedule. It is given at the time of outbreak to people at high risk. 2 sachets mixed in 200ml of water provide 60-90% protection against the severe disease for six months.
