The testicles are very delicate parts of the male body. Almost all healthy male vertebrates have two testes. The testicles are two oval shaped organs which are located below the penis. The testes are often contained within an extension of the abdomen called the scrotum. The scrotum is the pouch of skin that houses the testicles. The testicles become able to produce sperm allowing the fertilization of a female egg. This condition will happened when the male reaches puberty. Healthy testicles are most important for successful reproduction in male.

Some prominent conditions which lead to tescular problems are:

Testicular Torsion: It is most common in males younger than 30 years of age, with a peak incidence between 12-18 years of age. It can also occur more frequently during the neonatal period. This will occur more frequently with the left testicle.

Epididymitis: This condition occurs when there is inflammation of the epididymis, generally as a result of an infection. This is primarily affects adults, and is most common between 19 to 40 years of age, though it can occur in the prepubertal and elderly age groups. In older and younger individuals infection is caused by E.coli bacteria that are found in the urinary tract.

Trauma: In some cases due to injury or any other conditions pain and discomfort seen in the testicles. In most instances, the pain will improve with the passage of time. In some cases medical attention was required.

Testicle rupture: The serious injury to the testicle results from a disruption to the connective tissue enveloping the testicle (tunica albuginea), leading to the extrusion of testicular tissue.
