In some people mosquito bite leads to immediate swelling, while others exhibit a delayed response. Mosquitoes are capable of spreading diseases by biting the infected person such as malaria, yellow fever, dengue fever and viral encephalitis. People who have sensitive skin usually get the worst reactions. Some of home remedies can ease the swelling, itching, and breathing problems. They are,

• Apply the basil or lycium leaves juice to the affected area helps to speed up the healing.

• Rub banana peel onto the bite area, it reduce itchiness.

• Rub the garlic at affected area. You can notice immediate relief from the itching.

• Wash the bite area with running water and a mild soap.

• Wipe some cider vinegar on skin before going outdoors, acts as a natural bug repellent.

• Swap the skin with lavender or cedar oil helps to reduce swelling.

• Apply calamine or caladryl lotion to relieve the irritation of skin.

• Put a cold washcloth on affected area to cool  the area and to get rid of the itchiness.

• Apply mixer of lavender oil with tea tree oil on bite marks to reduce swelling and scarring.

• Apply antihistamine cream to the affected area, soothes the swelling.

• Treat itchy skin by dissolving one teaspoon of baking soda in one glass of water. Dip a cloth into the mixture and place on your bite area for 15 to 20 minutes.

• Apply dabber such as honey or ammonia or tooth paste directly to bite area for quick relief.

• Apply a salt water solution or paste over the bite, this helps in relieving the itching problem.

• Apply lime juice diluted with water over the bite.

• Take an oat meal bath this will help to reduce the swelling and itchy feeling.

• Rub dry soap on to the bite helps in reducing the itchiness and swelling
