Eye Care » Ways to protect eyes from computer

People who work more than four hours on a computer per day will experiences number of eye problems. To overcome these issues, one should follow the simple steps as given below that can improve eye health or minimize severity.

  • Blink eyes every second.
  • Eye exercise (rolling eyeballs both clockwise and anticlockwise).
  • Close eyes every half an hour.
  • Take breaks in between the long working hours.
  • Use anti glare spectacles while working on system.
  • Keep 30 cm distance from the computer.
  • Sleep atleast 8 hours a day.
  • Avoid working on computer in darkness or low light conditions.
  • Use lubricating eye drops.
  • Don′t keep bright light directly behind the screen.
  • Use a desk lamp instead of an overhead light.
  • Try to look away for few seconds from computer screen.
  • Try to spend minimum hours on computer.
  • Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.
  • Relieve strain by placing cucumber slices on eyes while going to bed.
