Amla (Emblica officinalis), also known as Indian gooseberry, is nature′s gift to mankind. Amla is one of the prestigious herbs that are used widely in all Ayurvedic and Unani preparations. The oil from the flower is believed to be a natural contraceptive. It is used for abortion in some regions. It should be used with caution. The leaves help to regularize menstrual cycle.
