Doctor's Response (Posted on : 02 Sep 2008 )

Sudden onset of delayed periods may be due to various reasons: sudden gain in weight sudden severe loss of weight thyroid hormone problems ovarian cysts. There are many other causes. As a minimum, ultrasound scan and thyroid hormone assays are necessary. Early diagnosis is important, but it is important to avoid worrying, keep active in daily life, meet the doctor periodically and follow the instructions. Don't worry.
