I am 55 years old, female. For the past 16 months i am getting lot of sweating, almost in every 30 mins interval with discomfort in different body parts, mainly in the left part of the chest, and sometimes pain in the shoulder and left hand fingers, sometimes slight headache as well.All my tests including TMT, sugar BP are normal. I also sweat while sleeping, and when i turn my side during sleep.This sweating lasts for 2-3minutes and disappears. Which specialist shud i refer? is it a heart problem? or post menupausal symptoms?I am also having spondilises. I had lower back surgery almost 2 years back.I am not taking any medicines for it.

Your symptoms are suggestive of a metabolic problem and do not suggest a heart related one. As your TMT and other tests are normal, it may in all probability related to menopause; and the fact that you suggested that I presume your periods have stopped. I feel that you should consult your family physician
