Its side effects are:Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, wt loss, flatulence, occasional metallic taste; weakness; hypoglycaemia; rash, malabsorption of vit B12. Chest discomfort, flushing, palpitation, chills, headache, lightheadedness, indigestion, abdominal discomfort. axeten h40 telmisartan 40mghelps to reduce B.P and also its side effects are URTI, dizziness, back pain, sinusitis, pharyngitis and diarrhoea. Slight elevations in liver enzymes. hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 also helps in reducing the blood pressure. Its side effects are:Volume depletion and electrolyte imbalance, dry mouth, thirst, lethargy, drowsiness, muscle pain and cramps, hypotension, hypersensitivity reactions e.g. rashes, photosensitivity, thrombocytopenia, jaundice, pancreatitis; fatigue, weakness; may precipitate an attack of gout; impotence, hyperglycaemia; anorexia, gastric irritation, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, sialadenitis, dizziness, raised Ca concentration.
